    Please note that I will be separately listing two of these similar boxes today.
    This is what I believe to be an antique wood thread or spool holder box. It has a sliding lid.
    It measures 7 1/4 inches wide x 10 1/4 inches long x 3 inches high (18.4 cm x 26 cm x 7.6 cm).
    When I initially saw this, I thought it was a candle box. When you look inside, you see there are six pegs. The ones in this box are surrounded by what I believe to be very hard rubber or some other substance. I may have the use totally wrong! Please use your judgment.
    The box has scattered nicks and dings to the finish. The top looks like someone used it as a base while cutting wood, as there are numerous scratches and cuts on it. Personally, I think they just tend to blend in.
    Overall, it’s a very sturdy box.
    It weighs 2 lbs. 5 1/2 oz. (1.062 kg).
