This very rare tindeco chest measures approximately 8" x 11" x 5"
It is being sold in "as is" condition. It has a beautiful view of Buffalo… The area in front of the City Hall (and other landmarks) - Park Circle that used to be there.... Which is now occupied by a federal office building.
We believe, based on the picture, the vehicles etc., that this dates back from the 1920s or 1930s.
The inside is in much better shape, especially on the underside of the lid. The lid itself is about a half-inch or more in thickness because it is a double lid - two pieces of metal pressed together or folded at the edges. The hasp and hinges both work; however, they also show some rust/patina.
Please study the photographs carefully. The outside could use some cleaning; however, much of the original paint on the lithograph on the tin has faded or has been scratched. Still, a beautiful piece of history.
