Vtg Antique Victorian Edwardian Silk Underskirt Half Slip Petticoat "Repurpose"

Description

Lovely late 1800's or early 1900's silk undergarment that had a previous life.
There are selvage edges present and the undergarment was made from silk fabric that was about 20.5 inches selvage to selvage. Looks like they used 3 full panels of silk to make the garment.
The color is a warm cream and the fabric is soft to touch and drapable but has body. Not a thin silk. Has a cotton waistband with no closure. Hand sewn.
I will give approximate measurements.
The waist is about 14.5 inches lying flat.
Lying flat the bottom is about 28 inches.
The length is about 36 inches.
Has some small holes and brown stains scattered about.
If dressing an antique doll you would have plenty of good usable "rare" silk fabric. The underskirt could also be used as intended. Fabric is strong.
